Deanna and Larry are exclusive Janome dealers and members of The Sewing Dealers Trade Association. Staff members, as well as Deanna and Larry, attend continuing education classes at the Janome Institute, classes with Janome Educators, as well as National teachers and educators.

Janome America requires that all dealers are certified on their top of the line sewing and embroidery machines before they can sell the machines in their store. The Sewing Center of Santa Fe's certifications are listed on the Janome website.

Deanna was a Janome owner before becoming an exclusive Janome dealer, and opened The Sewing Center of Santa Fe in June 2001. Her first Janome was given to her as a gift from her mother-in-law in 1994.

After sewing on a 35-year-old machine, she could not believe how user friendly her new Janome machine was: "The machine is still going strong, and with yearly service it has required only one repair in the 14 years I've owned it — the replacement of the rubber ring on the bobbin winder (50 cents). We seldom see our machines on the repair bench, and with that kind of history on my own machine I didn't even consider carrying another brand of sewing machine. I have never regretted that decision.
